Making villages better through the Zero Hunger Project
To improve the livelihood of people in rural areas and develop programs in food security, income generation, education, and
infrastructure, Good Neighbors implemented the Saemaul Zero Hunger Communities Project (SZHCP) of the
World Food Program (WFP) in partnership with Tanzanian and Bangladesh local governments from 2014 to 2018.
Wishing Well: a $10k single gift to clean water
Earlier this year we had a very moving surprise: a single donation of $10,000 to our Wishing Well Project. The initiative, under the Good Water project umbrella, provides clean water in Zambia, where numerous communities suffer from remote water sources that are contaminated.
The importance of water: visiting the London-Middlesex Children’s Water Festival
Good Neighbors Canada was at the event to see how youth is learning about water and the environment. There are many activities focused on showing children how water is filtered, how floods can be prevented and how some people struggle to have access to water.
One of our wishes is to bring water for our neighbours
March 2019 marks the second anniversary of Good Neighbors Canada and this is the gift we want the most.
